EXPLORING
The fascination of the starry sky and the unexplored universe: As a child of the moon landing and an avid fan of TV series such as Captain Future, Star Trek, and radio plays such as Commander Perkins, I invented my own galactic space. How exciting it is to encounter new, different structures and living beings. I built a walkie-talkie out of wood and drew a portrait on the display of a Veganer (constellation Vega/Lyra) I had invented, with whom I could go on a voyage of discovery. My curiosity for science and fiction was awakened. In school, I heard about the Big Bang — and found it outrageous that before that there was supposed to have been N-O-T-H-I-N-G... And an enthusiastic teacher drew my attention to unsolved problems in physics. Since then, I have been exploring current reports on space, gravity, atomic structure, quantum leaps and entanglement, quarks, Higgs and other elementary particles, and much more — and trying to generate my own artistic positions from them. I am particularly fascinated by Hugh Everett III's many-worlds theory, which could establish a modern connection to the superposition of the quantum world (parallel states).
I am interested in the interfaces between art and science as well as opposing positions such as geometric vs. organic, order vs. chaos, logic vs. intuition, matter vs. spirit. My works often combine elements of geometry, time, space, and mystery. An attempt to gain access to a hidden page.
